Davis - Vantage Pro 2 PLUS-Wireless

The improved Vantage Pro2 station is the new standard by which other weather stations are being judged. It is smart, comprehensive, available cabled or wireless, and all at a surprisingly low price. A "tickertape" forecast message and the ability to graph any data make this a stand-out compared to cheap imported models. Several models are available.

The Vantage Pro2 offers significant upgrades over the original Vantage Pro: a much stronger signal, for transmission up to 1000' line of site; realigned buttons for easier navigating of the controls; new electronics which draw less power; and an improved radiation shield. All of these changes come at the same low price as before.

Choose the cabled model for the greatest reliability and for use in metal, concrete or brick building. 100' cables, with 40' extra for the detachable wind sensors, allow great flexibility in locating sensors.

The wireless model allows easier set-up and lets you locate the sensor suite far away from the house, if you want. The extreme range is 1000'. A solar panel keeps the sensor suite charged even in periods of little sunshine.

Features: wind speed, chill, direction; barometric pressure and trend; forecast symbol and ticker tape message; inside/outside temperature; inside/outside humidity; dew point; heat index; rainfall; moon phase; time of sunrise/sunset; time and date; memories; alarms; graphing function; backlit display; integrated sensor array for rooftop, etc.

The PLUS models add two sensors: a UV (ultraviolet) sensor, to measure the sunburn portion of the light spectrum, (UV index, dose rate, and totals); and a solar radiation sensor, to measure evapotranspiration (drying factor, vital for growers).
