The Long Term rain gauge collects a remarkable 11.0" of liquid precipitation. Rain first fills the inner cylinder, graduated in hundredths to 1.0", then overflows into the outer cylinder. We show it here with 4" of tinted water. Measure by using the inner tube to empty. In winter, collect snow in the heavy-duty outer cylinder, and melt to measure.
